Times Like These
A dark, noir-style comedy, Times Like These is full of surprises.

Nathan takes current girlfriend Angela out to a nostalgic 50’s diner to pop the big question. His reasoning comes from stories that old time movies star Eve Lumiere was engaged in the very same diner. After several failed attempts to get the question out, Nathan is left in the dust.

Distraught, Nathan heads for home, only to have his car breakdown in the middle of nowhere. Luckily a Good Samaritan offers to help. In the course of some friendly banter, Nathan learns more about the Eve Lumiere story, as well as dark rumors of an affair that ultimately lead to her demise.

It seems Nathan’s fate might not be too different from that of Ms. Lumiere’s, that is… if history repeats itself.
