MATTHEW BARRIE
(Producer)

Matthew Barrie was born and raised in Northern California's San Juaquin Valley. At an early age he discovered a passion for filmmaking and storytelling by experimenting with his parent’s camcorder and making short movies. Right out of high school he attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where he found his affection for filmmaking would turn into a life's calling. Producing became his main focus and he produced many short films, culminating in his senior year with the productions of "Scatterbrain", a fantasy horror film conceived and directed by Brandon Petersen, and "Times Like These", a noir suspense short directed by Richard Bosner. Following his graduation Matthew developed and produced "The Marthas", a narrative short, set in the 1960's, again with director Richard Bosner.

Aside from producing, Matthew enjoys all aspects of filmmaking and has worked on commercials, television shows, and feature films in various capacities. His interest with the artistic and creative design of the filmmaking lead him to find working in the Art Department an outlet for his creativity.

Matthew currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to produce films.
